Winter Moon

In the cold of winter on a moonlit night
With snow all around reflecting its light
I bask in a glory of unequaled delight
In awe to behold such a beautiful sight
On nights such as these, so cold and bleak
The moon in the sky whose refuge I seek
Her blessed radiance, so pale, yet not weak
She lights my way so not to stumble my feet
Many don't realize the glory of winter
Live only they do from March to December
Dreading the coming of Nature's slumber
Unable to see Mother Nature's wonder
So listen close and take it to heart
Without the winter, spring would not start
Remember the moon as winter departs
She lit your way when all had seemed dark
