The Travelers

Greetings, fellow traveler, and merry meet;
How do you fair on this bonnie day?

I am well, my friend, and kindly met;
Where goes you on such a beautiful May?

I'm off to Holland, to meet my fair lady
To ask her to be my wife
We'll travel the road together, as we'll
Travel together in life

Ah, l'amour, the sweetness I feel
For I too am on such a journey
In Paris it is, where my love awaits
She'll be patiently waiting for me

It seems we have a common goal
Though different destinations
But will you travel with me, until
We must part, or have you reservations?

Go with you I will, and thank you also
Your kindness exceeds your charm
So let us depart, be on our way
To our lady's welcoming arms
