Summer's Rain Angel

The day was so hot, the sun was extreme
The grass was brown no one outside was seen
A drought stricken land, wanting for water
Waiting for salvation from Mother Nature's daughter
The Summer's Rain Angel could bring us relief
Return life to the land, wash the dust from the streets
She hears our prayers, views our hopeful rain dance
And answers our call, gives life a chance
The rain comes slowly at first, so not to shock the soil
Then soaks deep to the roots, to help with out toil
The green returns, life is anew
Summer's Rain Angel has helped us get through
