Spirits of the Mind

Ah! the spirits, to take me from my mind
The more I drink the more I find
I lose my inhibitions, feel wild and free
I dance to the music, I seem the real me
No more I am shy, I can talk all night
But exercise control, or you'll dread the light
The morning after can be quite surprising
To wake up in a scene not of your devising
Who is this girl here laying beside me?
I look for a place, somewhere to hide me
Then she wakes up, I smile just the same
I think, and I think... "What is her name?!"
