Singing Gypsy

Once I was walking alone late at night
The moon and the stars were the only light
Many sounds I heard filled with such reverie
I heard the sweet voice of the singing gypsy
A simple song it was, just her and her guitar
But so beautiful it was, at once she won my heart
Her words spoke to me, she played with such finesse
So very enchanting, by the Gods she must be blessed
As I listened to her, I saw she caught my eye
A smile across her face, she didn't seem surprised
When the song was over, she rose to come my way
Such exquisite beauty I had not seen until that day
Walking to me slowly, then she took my hand
The music began anew, with me she would dance
And in the stars was written, we should find true love
Together in harmony, as the moon and stars above
