The Poetry of Sylvan Shadowolf

Innocent Afterglow

Innocence eyes the beckoning
Insolence wars with pride
Seething towards contempt
Animosity burns inside
A bold facade uncovered
Shown true for its distaste
Revealed a bitter resentment
And innocent eyes replaced
Tarry not your future
For comes to quickly fast
Bitter not your display
Or dwelling on the past
Find your true demeanor
Carry it for to show
The heart reveals its nature
And burns the afterglow
